Malena Chen

Malena joined the Robohawks when she was in 7th grade, and is now a 12th grader at Head-Royce. She enjoys building and hanging out with her teammates, and became a part of the all girls Robohawks team in her freshman year. Outside of robotics, Malena enjoys playing volleyball, piano, and drawing.

Riley Reichel

Riley is a current senior at Head-Royce. Since joining the team in freshman year, he has learned to code, build, and drive the robot. Now, he serves as a team captain and a lead programmer for the team. As a senior, his goal is to organize code repositories for future teams, setting up a good framework for future robotics team members. ​

​Jack Chin

J​ack is in the 12th Grade at Head-Royce. Jack was in 5th Grade when his older brother joined the Robohawks. Jack was not old enough to join too so he helped the team whenever he could. Jack likes robotics because it is fun to make things and see how they work.  It is really cool to learn all the little details from the older Robohawks.  It is also fun to do well in the tournaments.

Peter Timpane

Peter is currently a senior at Head-Royce School, and has been on the Robohawks since 8th grade. He started off building and programming robots, and has only started driving them in the past two years. Peter has competed at the World Championship two times, and won the California State Championship in 2018. Peter's goal is to pass on the skills of precision and innovation that he's developed over the years.

Leslie Kwok

​Leslie joined the Robohawks in 2018-2019 as a freshman. Before starting VEX, she was on her school’s ROV team and competed in MATE competitions. She is part of the Head Royce class of 2022. She enjoys helping with building, trouble-shooting, and making connections with members of her team and other teams. In addition to robotics, Leslie enjoys sailing, crew, and painting.

Kabir Malik

Kabir is a junior at Head-Royce, part of the class of '23. Since joining the team in sophomore year, he's contributed to the building, programming, and driving of his team's robot. He also helped organize the recruitment effort during the 2021-22 school year, augmenting the team's membership to close to 20 members. Outside of robotics, Kabir enjoys personal robotic projects, ceramics, piano, and modifying his car.

Alexander is currently a junior at Head-Royce. Joining the team in his sophomore year, Alex now enjoys building and coming up with wacky ideas to put on the robots. In his spare time, Alex enjoys playing video games, sketching, and reading.

Peter is currently a 7th grader at Head-Royce. He loves tinkering around with computers and all sorts of technology. Since 2nd grade, Peter has been making Robotics projects, such as an Arduino Bluetooth remote rover and a game with real-life hand gestures. Aside from Robotics, Peter likes Math, Computer Science, Engineering, Science, and Anime. He has also started his own tiny game company, where he plans to make an RPG. This is Peter’s first year as a Robohawk, and he has good hopes for this season!

Gavin Wang

Gavin Wang is a current 8th grader at Head Royce. This is his first year as a member of HRS Robohawks. He has high hopes for the future accomplishments of the team in future competitions and looks forward to learning more about the process of building and programming robots. He enjoys computer science and drawing, along with playing soccer.

Mila is currently a freshman at Head Royce, and joined the team this year. She has been interested in robotics since doing Robotics For Fun as a kid, and hopes to continue to learn from other members and get better at robotics.

Christian Woo

Benjamin Wang

Christian joined robotics in 8th grade. He is 14 and has aspired to join robotics since 3rd grade. He enjoys working on his robot and chilling with friends during practice. He is looking forward to continuing robotics in highschool. Aside from robotics, he enjoys fencing and video games.
